Naib currently works in Global Risk Management division of ScotiabankTM . He is primarily involved in bank wide traded securities risk data flow management and aggregation, as well as limit monitoring, regulatory and senior management reporting. He holds B.Sc. degree in Economical Cybernetics from Baku State University, Personal Financial Planner designation from Canadian Securities Institute and is currently pursuing a Financial Risk Management certification from Global Association of Risk Professionals. “In current globalized world, knowledge of international trade and finance is a great advantage and I believe this unique program enables you to learn these subjects from some of the best professors in their field. Working for the most International bank in Canada, I believe my graduate degree has definitely helped me to be where I am today and I am confident it will open even more opportunities for me in the future.”

Director of AOL Video - Europe

Mark oversees content creation and partner content acquisition on AOL’s Video syndication platform, AOL On, for the European market. Mark also directs audience and advertising development, innovation and monetisation for AOL Video platforms. Mark has had extensive experience in development and launching content monetization platforms in both the mobile & digital video space in North America, before moving to AOL UK in January 2014 to take on the position of Director of Video for Europe, most recently launched the AOL On Video Network in the UK, the second international launch of the platform he has led.

John-Paul (JP) Taylor

Vice President of Optimization and Origination at Enviva Biomass

Enviva is the global leader in industrial wood pellet production for coal replacement in power generation. Prior to joining Enviva JP was based in London where he was Vice President of Biomass Markets at Evolution Markets Ltd. While at Ryerson JP completed a B Comm and then returned to Ryerson to complete his MA in International Economics and Finance. During his MA studies JP focused on option pricing of European Union Allowances under the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme, using the Black-Scholes model and Nonparametric estimation.

Yani Wu

Derivatives Analyst - Ontario Securities Commission

Yani currently works as a derivatives analyst in the Ontario Securities Commission. She has been greatly involved in the global over-the-counter derivative regulatory reform initiatives, conducting data analysis to monitor financial system stability and assist policy decision making, and engaging in international discussion on standards setting to drive cross-jurisdictional harmonization. “I really enjoyed my time at Ryerson. The MA program provides a good selection of courses which equipped me with economics analytical skills and knowledge of financial market theories, which was instrumental in kickstarting my career. In addition, people here are super nice and helpful!”
